Christmas Traditions

Christmas is almost here. As I have had a chance to reflect on the season I have found myself thinking about traditions. A question for me is where did the idea of the "White Elephant" gift idea come from? Who came up with gift games like stealing other peoples gifts for a minimum of three times then can't be stolen anymore. Things like Turkey and other foods that resonate with Christmas time. What Christmas traditions have you adopted in your youth ministry? Where did they originate from?
