What are the top five things that you have learned in youth ministry?
Here's my list:
(1) Youth ministry is deeply theological.
(2) Youth ministry is not limited to a framework of time but rather a lifetime.
(3) Youth ministry needs to ask questions rather than provide a simple set of answers.
(4) Youth ministry needs to be an extension of the family both at home and at church.
(5) Youth ministry needs to work harder than it does.

1. Vision is contagious
2. Parents of youth can be friends and allies
3. Reliability is the key to credibility
4. Change takes time
5. I must be willing to learn as a leader
